Photo #1 is apparently the only photo of any of the plan 73 Pullman Palace sleeping cars before they were converted to coaches in 1892, while photo #2 appears to be the only photo of one of them as a coach. The John Maxwell Collection offers a floor plan and elevations of the Plan 73 Pullmans, based on a drawing in the National Car Builder for January 1880 (DSP-103). They also offer plans for C&S coach-mail cars #40-43 (MC-170), and for the proposed combination coach-baggage/express-mail cars that were never built (MC-171).
