Colorado & Southern Rolling Stock

Passenger Cars of the South Park

(Denver, South Park & Pacific)

The Colorado & Southern Railroad began in 1899 as the consolidation of two bankrupt railroads, the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison and the Union Pacific, Denver & Gulf. The Union Pacific, Denver & Gulf was the reorganization of the bankrupt Colorado Central while the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison was the reorganization of the bankrupt Denver, South Park & Pacific, widely known as the “South Park.” It is the purpose of these pages to tell the story of the passenger cars of the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad.
