Searle Heater

A Cincinnati inventor, J.Q.C. Searle, introduced a hot-water system in 1870 that broke the Baker monopoly and was eventually manufactured by the Union Brass Company of Chicago. It was good enough to be used on some of Pullman’s deluxe cars.
